Dusk
Lately I've been sneaking out to the garden in the evenings to putter around while Bill is giving Joe a bath. It doesn't matter how stressful my day has been, something about spending the last few moments of sunlight out here makes everything okay. It's a mess, but it's all mine.
It is a magical thing how time in the garden melts away stress, isn't it? I agree that dusk is one of my favorites, but first thing in the morning is tops for me...in the summer when it's still humid and cool and the kids are still in bed...heaven on Earth!
Haha I think we've hit upon the key: kids in bed. And yes, this was the first morning I was up before the sun pacing around waiting for it to rise so I could run out and pick lettuce. Lovely.

Now that I'm freelancing, I'm taking time to pursue other life goals such as being a full-time mother, an avid gardener, and living an environmentally responsible lifestyle. We'll see how this goes..."
It went.
